Why play it

GeoRadar trains your mental map rather than your memory of names: every guess teaches you in which direction and how far countries lie from each other. It suits players who already know the big countries and want to place the smaller ones.

After every guess

• Continent: turns green when it matches the answer. Transcontinental countries (Russia, Turkey, Egypt…) count as both of theirs.

• Hemisphere: N or S of the equator.

• Direction: the arrow points from your guess toward the answer.

• Distance: measured in a straight line between the countries' geographic centers, not their capitals, so a very large country can look farther than you'd expect. Colored by proximity: green means very close, red means far away.

Strategy

Open with countries in different regions to triangulate, then follow the arrows to close in.

Tip

The colour of the distance matters more than the exact number: green means very close, so after a green guess look at that country’s neighbours before jumping anywhere else.
