Capitals of North America

The capital of each of the 23 countries from North America. Several are not the country's largest or best-known city — which is exactly why this mode tends to be harder than Flags or Countries.

Good to know

Several capitals here are not the largest city: Ottawa was chosen over Toronto and Montreal, Washington, D.C. was built as a federal capital, and Belmopan replaced Belize City after a hurricane in 1961. In the Caribbean, watch the similar names: Saint John’s (Antigua and Barbuda), Saint George’s (Grenada), Kingston (Jamaica) and Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines).
