Is Geolympia free?
Yes. All 13+ modes are free to play. A few cosmetic extras and streak-saving items can be bought with in-game coins, which you also earn by playing.
Do I need an account?
No — open the game and you're playing instantly as a guest. Signing in with Google (from the Profile tab) links your progress to your account so it follows you to any device.
How does the ranking work?
There are two boards: GLOBAL, monthly, ranked by trophies earned in Duels and Online Survival (your career trophies, shown on your profile, never reset); and DIVISION, weekly, ranked by the XP you earn in any mode, including Learn.
Can I play against real people?
Yes — 1v1 Duels and Online Survival match you with other players in real time, or you can create a private room and share the code with friends.
What languages is Geolympia available in?
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Indonesian.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Profile → Settings → "Delete account and data" inside the game, or use the link in the footer below.
How many countries does Geolympia cover?
All 197 sovereign and widely recognised states, with flags, capitals, borders and population figures for 195 of them (the two exceptions, Kosovo and Taiwan, still count for Neighbors and GeoRadar).
Where do the flags, maps and population figures come from?
They are curated and cross-checked by hand — capitals against each country’s own government sources, population against the latest UN estimate, borders against physical land frontiers only (no maritime-only neighbours). See the About page for details.
What is GeoRadar?
A country is chosen at random and you get its distance and compass direction from your last guess after each try — you narrow it down the way a radar would, without ever seeing a map.
What is Neighbors?
You are shown one country and have to name every country that shares a land border with it, in any of the 7 supported languages.
Can I play offline or without downloading anything?
Yes — it runs entirely in the browser, no install, no app store. An Android app with the same account and progress also exists if you prefer it.
Is there a way to earn coins without paying?
Yes — coins come from playing: the Daily Challenge, weekly missions, duel wins and perfect runs all pay out. No mode requires spending money to be completed.
What happens if I lose my daily streak?
A streak freeze (earned or bought with coins) protects one missed day automatically. Without one, a missed day resets the streak counter, but never your XP, trophies or Atlas progress.
Does Geolympia work on mobile browsers?
Yes, the web version is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktop alike — same account, same progress on every device once you sign in.
