What's new in Geolympia 1.3.0
The latest update to Geolympia, out now on Android and reflected here on the web.
- Typing modes now accept alternate country names — "Czechia" as well as "Czech Republic", plus Holland, Burma, USA, UK and about 25 more.
- XP is now correctly awarded in every mode (it used to fail in GeoRadar, Neighbours, Infinite Borders, Online Survival and 1v1 Duels).
- The GLOBAL (monthly) ranking now actually resets every month; your career trophies (the ones on your profile) never reset.
- Private Survival rooms: the host now decides when the match starts, instead of it auto-starting or kicking players for waiting too long.
- Leaving a PRIVATE duel or Survival room no longer warns that you'll lose trophies — there are none at stake there.
- More modes now show the country's flag on capital questions.
- If online matchmaking is taking a while, you'll see a notice with a button to invite friends — no bots involved.
- Background music has been removed.
- GeoRadar's help now explains how distance is measured, and the mode recognises transcontinental countries (Russia, Turkey, Egypt...).
- Daily Lesson: it's now marked as completed once you finish it, its content changes every day, and it now works even if you haven't used "Master the World" yet (it draws on your mistakes from other modes instead).
- Added a pencil icon over the profile avatar to show it's editable.
- Fixed text that used to get cut off on hub, shop and end-screen buttons, especially in German and Portuguese.
